Chell cosplay WIP 3 - JUMPSUIT AQUIRED by space-paranoids Chell cosplay WIP 3 - JUMPSUIT AQUIRED by space-paranoids
My jumpsuit came in! Now all I need are the gun, boots and some grey contact lenses, which are gonna take a really long time…

The jumpsuit is cheap; it’s the ones you can buy at the costume store for cheap. The material is flimsy and already the shoulder seams look like they are about to bust. Oh well; I just hope it holds up long enough.

I posted moar pics on my tumblr: [link]

And yeah, if you have Steam, I just got one, so feel free to add me. I've only played Portal 2 co-op once, and I'm looking for more people to play it with: [link]

I bought a cheap jumpsuit on Amazon for only $17 but I'm not sure if they still sell it at that price.

If I can find some good thrift store boots, then I'll just go with that. If not, then I'll go and buy a pair on Amazon. The gun...haha yeah, I wish they were cheap. I asked my boyfriend before if he could make one for me, but I don't know if he has time. If I can't get anyone to make one for me, I'll just buy one on ThinkGeek before they run out. Eh then again, I need money for either buying or having one commissioned.

You're looking great! If I had the cash, I'd buy you a Dual Portal Gun. But... I'm borderline poor as it is. I don't have $170 to spend on something so random. I have to hope this computer lasts like, two more years. I can't get a new one.

Good color on the jumpsuit. I wouldn't wear it a TON, as to hope avoiding the washer as much as possible. Oh and if it gets stained, just get some orange paint and paint over the stain. :3 Just get a paint color as close as you can. Not any paint would do, nothing water based. I wouldn't know the kind needed, of the top of my head anyway.

I noticed on your tumblr that you're a Mass Effect fan, very awesome (as I happen to be a big fan too). Heh, I love Garrus, but more as a brother in arms. I'm totally for LGBT rights, but that doesn't mean I want to have a dude be my love interest. Which is why Liara is my love interest for my FemShep. I'm on my third Shepard right now. I've play Mass Effect three times, Mass Effect 2 five times, and I'm on my third Mass Effect 3 playthrough. My first playthrough I was a "canon" male John Shepard, Soldier/Earthborn/Survivor/95%paragon, romanced Ashley. Second was Altair Shepard, my FemShep, Soldier/Spacer/WarHero/80%Paragon), romanced Liara. My current Arthur Shepard is practically my opposite. I'm doing a renegade playthrough, just to hear new dialogue. It's SO not as fun as Altair Shepard, my favorite so far. Adept/Colonist/Ruthless/100%Renegade, romanced Liara.

I intend to do many more playthroughs. I want to try out more classes and love interests. I did do a couple extra Mass Effect 2 playthroughs, so I did try out Vanguard. I need to do Infiltrator, Sentinel, and Engineer. I'm thinking Male Infiltrator, romance Tali. Female Sentinel, romance Garrus(I might as well sometime, I've heard he's really sweet especially in ME3). Male Engineer, romance Jack. I won't romance Miranda, don't like her, nor Kaidan, he's not cool enough for me to sway that way, or anyone else. After that, probably another FemShep romancing Liara, because honestly I really care for her, more than anyone else in the series. She's a great character. I was crying a couple times during Mass Effect 3, during touching moments between her and Shepard. Which actually brings up one of my few complaints about the games, I wanted Shepard to cry a little sometime during Mass Effect 3. The game is SO depressing(in that good kind of way), I was crying at times. I am practically emotionally traumatized, I expect Shepard to feel something too. Crying is NOT a sign of weakness, it's a sign of humanity (and asari and krell, they have tear ducts too).

On the subject of Mass Effect, my team, Frayed Wires Studios, is making a Mass Effect themed mod for Star Wars Battlefront 2. It's called Mass Effect: Unification, and if you Google its name, the first suggestion is the Mod DB page for it. My Co-Executive Director, Marth, is the Lead Developer. I'm sorta the Co-Developer, but he does most of the work on it, it's his project.

Anyway, I digress. I do have Steam, but I don't use it very often (not a big fan of Steam overall, not to say I hate it or anything). I'll add you if I have the time and/or Steam doesn't act up on me.

Wow, I totally didn't intend for my comment to be so long. Sometimes I'm hard to shut up, lol. Hope I don't seem weird. Anyway, peace.

(I know I posted this on the duplicate of this, but I figured you'll delete one of them and I didn't want my comment lost. Took like 10 minutes to type all this out!)

haha yeah, I saw the duplicate and I'm actually glad that you posted on my duplicate submission. I deleted that submission; otherwise, my gallery would be all messy with people commenting here and there. :P

And yeah, I understand. I appreciate your offer, though. A few people have offered to make me the gun and boots, but then they couldn't afford all the materials by themselves, either. So I'd had to pitch in, but some didn't like the way I pitched in. I don't have a job right now, and the only money I ever get are Christmas and birthday money. And the only way I can pay online is through Visa gift card by giving them all the credit card info, but idk some didn't like that.

lol I wouldn't be wearing the jumpsuit much anyway; only for cosplay. :P

Oh, I've actually been on the fence as to whether I should add Mass Effect to my "list of favorite games" or not lol. I like it and all, but it didn't take me until spoiling myself with Garrus stuff in ME2 to really like the game. IDK ME1 was alright; good story but had mostly two-dimensional characters. ME2 was better in the character development and had less repetitive gameplay. Ah still, I might as well say that the Mass Effect series has become my favorite since I keep lurking the Mass Effect Kink Meme community on LiveJournal for some M-rated fan fics, heh. And I even have my own fan fic in the works (not M-rated). And then of course, my tumblr is flooded with mostly FemShep/Garrus pictures. :P I blame it on my boyfriend getting me into this series, so he can't complain if I bombard him with Garrus stuff. :P

I understand the Garrus love; he even has a TV Tropes listing called "Even the Guys Want Him". Well given by the amount of guys I've come across that have a man crush on him, I'd have to say that is true. :P

I chose the default ManShep as my first playthrough, and it was alright. I think I should have chosen to play as FemShep and play it my way to make the story more intersting. But then I was new to W-RPGS, so yeah. I didn't know what to completely do with a playable character that didn't have an established history and personality and all that. I don't really have my own canon Shepard compared to others, although maybe I should so that I feel less detached from the story. Well, I couldn't even make my own personal Shepard face; I had to use one uploaded on MassEffect2faces.com because I have no imagination. :P I found one that I like and would like to call it as my own canon, only if it weren't made by some other person and already had an established canon...

I played ME1 twice. Got bored the second time trying to make a sort of Joan-of-Arc type of Shepard and picking Paragon choices almost always. I was also getting impatient and wanted to get on with ME2 already, so I stopped my playthrough right when I got to Illos. The next playthrough, I might just do a Paragade one so that my character isn't all two-dimensional. I played ME2 twice so far, the same times with a mostly Paragon FemShep (100% paragon with only the 1st bar of Renegade filled). I stopped playing ME2 for now because I was just so burnt out from playing a 50-hour game, and the same happened to me when I played ME1. So I'm taking a break from replays for now.

I always like playing as Infiltrator; I love killing my enemies when they don't see me. However, I kind of got impatient with Infiltrator in ME2 because I find it hard to shoot anymies now without them spotting me first; I seem to find it hard to be sneaky in this game now. I also noticed that it was less open space than ME1 (way too many boxes and crates fill a room, and I seem to have to take cover more often). I also find it hard to take out multiple enemies without dying so quickly. Uggh I must have been spoiled from playing Sentinel for my first ME2 playthrough. I'm thinking about switching my Infiltrator class to Adept by using the Gibbed saved editor to do so. I noticed that I get better crowd control with having lots of biotic powers, especially against the husks and Collectors.

The ME3 straight romance options for FemShep are just awful. Garrus and Kaidan are the only good ones, but I find Kaidan to be quite boring. With Jacob, the way his romance was treated in ME3 was just...ugh. Search a YouTube video of it, and you'll see. With Thane, I think this thread explains it the best (kinda spoilery): [link]

And what's worse is that you don't get a paramour achievement for either of those characters.

So now, I don't know if it's worth going back and finishing my 2nd FemShep playthrough where I was about to romance Thane. uggh I'm already feeling the burn out, but if I found out earlier that I can romance all possible LIs in one playthrough by following specifics, then I wouldn't have to do another sort of samey playthrough.

And what you said about crying: yeah, I find it appalling that Shepard didn't cry during Thane's last moments, especially as an LI. What's worse is that no one even metions Thane after he passes away except for Kai Leng. How awful. And then the way that the other characters jump on Shepard when she's still mourning the death of her lover, acting as if nothing has happened...uggh. Honestly, what a terrible way to treat the Thane romance and not even get a paramour achievement for it.

Ah, I've never played Star Wars Battlefront before. I think my boyfriend has been meaning to get me into it as well. I'll check out your mods, though.

I'm only using Steam to play Portal 2 co-op, unless there is another way to do so without having to rely on Steam.

Heh, your reply was longer than my original post. :D

I wish I had more money to help you and myself. I have my own character(s) I want to cosplay, and every character I want to cosplay requires me to make some sort of armor. Be it Stormtrooper armor, Shepard's armor, New California Republic Ranger armor, and so forth.

I like Mass Effect 1 and Mass Effect 2 differently. I miss certain things from ME1 while playing ME2 and vice versa. I can understand being worn out on ME1. Mass Effect 3 has the combat down really, REALLY well. Although I've only played as a Soldier and an Adept in ME3 so far.

Garrus is like Batman, what's not to love? I totally agree on Thane's death. Even if you're a MaleShep I think he should cry during his death. It's not like the Suicide Mission in ME2, where someone dies there is NO time to stop and mourn. He's in a hospital, watching him die slowly before him. He should at least have one single manly tear, but nope. Bioware, oh Bioware.

And yeah, Jacob is a bastard for having an affair on FemShep in ME3 (given that you've romanced him in ME2 of course). Ashley's and Kaidan's characters are somewhat of a mixed bag. I don't hate either of them (although a lot of people hate Ashley and have her killed on Virmire). I just don't like the paths Bioware had their characters take. On my first full playthrough I played the "canon" John Shepard and romanced Ashley (and didn't have an affair on her in ME2). The story was, meh. Okay. I never once cried. I did feel really bad when Dr. Eva Core bashed her head up on Mars, but even then I was like "I know she lives..."

I've watched a LOT of Mass Effect videos on YouTube, watching things I don't intend on doing myself. I haven't seen all of it, but I think Tali and Jack are the best options for a MaleShep. Then Liara or Garrus for a FemShep.

Oh and one of my biggest issues I have with Mass Effect 3 is the complete and total lack of ME2 squad mates (Garrus and Tali are ME1 squad mates, they don't count). I wanted Jack, Legion, Samara and Grunt back. :( But nope. We got James Vega. :| Who kept hitting on my FemShep who loved Liara. *sighs*

It was cool getting EDI as a squad mate though. I like hearing her opinions on things. And I got Joker and EDI together as well, which was great.

Oh yeah, can't believe I haven't asked you. What's your opinion on Mass Effect 3's ending?

I can hardly blame you. I get emotionally distraught from the lack of proper closure. I've done two playthroughs so far, chose the destruction ending both times. I think I'll pick control for my current renegade playthrough.

Marauder Shields. I have a feeling he was a badass turian, when he used to be one.

Well I finally got to the Starbrat part last night, and it didn't really sunk in yet until that moment on how much I hated the endings. Yeah, I got myself spoiled early on and already knew how the endings would be and prepared for the worst, but man...never in my life have I ever been pissed about the "choices" presented to me.

So I spent a good 10 minutes instead by testing the limits of that pistol's infinite ammo and shooting the Starbrat with abandon. :D

And then I tried to find a way to escape that hell hall out of sheer desperate--hell even tried the fly cam option turned on--but to no avail. I'm stuck there having to choose stupid RGB technicolor options from an 8 year-old's concrete logic.

Pissed me off so damn much that I refused to watch the ending to the end. I picked Destroy anyway but decided to alt + tab once the scene got around to playing and watched fan made endings on You Tube instead. :D

And yes, I also took the liberty to have my FemShep die by the hands of the Marauder hero several times before that as well. :D I took screen caps to commemorate that moment as well. :D

And then after that, I decided to do a quick run of ME1 all over again because I never really developed a canon Shepard until ME2, and would to see my canon Shepard's story played out. But then I won't be spending as much time as I did previously, because at this point, I am completely burned out from playing me2 & 3 for two weeks in a row, almost non-stop.

btw, my headcanon says that Marauder Shields used to be Nihlus.

I was curious if it did have infinite ammo or not. I didn't waste time finding out, as I wanted it over as fast as possible. Interesting to hear it IS infinite. It is obvious that Bioware HAD to do that, for story reasons, but it certainly is odd... ergo indoctrination theory. In my two playthroughs I chose destroy as well. In my current, third playthrough, I'll choose control. Those endings... damn. They all suck.

R) Destroy the reapers, the geth, EDI, and Shepard (which is actually a lie on the Starbaby's part. The Shepard "breathing" scene is only possible if you chose Destroy.
B) Control the reapers. Citadel isn't severely damaged like in the Destroy and Synthesis options. However the length of time Shepard can control the reapers is unknown, and it could bite him in the ass later on.
G) Fuse all organic and inorganic life. Arguably the best ending, I argue that it's just as bad. Sure, the reapers are gone now, but at what cost? I'd have sacrificed the galaxy's individuality to do it. Isn't that what all of Mass Effect 3 leading up to was about? Different people working together in cooperation in a common goal?

I feel sick just thinking about our choices at hand. I can't even decide which is the worst ending, nonetheless which is the best. They all suck, in their own special way.

Heh. Nihlus. I often wonder about that guy. I liked him, what little we see of him. He likes the human race, that's a plus.

It's my firm belief that Joker is trying to escape the game's ending, and that's why he's running away, trying to get away from that color coded nightmare. :P

Ah I hope my current playthrough will be over soon. I'm really not enjoying this full-renegade playthrough, I've never been more burnt out of the games than I am right now. Ugh if I just finish it, I can start my new FemShep Infiltrator. I decided I'm going to keep alternating like I have been. MaleShep, FemShep, MaleShep, and so on.

Anyway. Have fun with your new Mass Effect playthrough. If you haven't yet, I suggest romancing Liara. Oh, do you have Lair of the Shadow Broker? The DLC for Mass Effect 2? It's really great, especially for those who are romancing Liara.

The endings all seem like a lose-win situation. Shepard loses in all of those and the Reapers win regardless. But Synthesis ending is the most offensive of them all, especially if you made peace between the geth and quarians.

Nihlus was so badass. Honestly, a lot of thought was put behind his backstory (if you read up on it on the Mass Effect wiki) and his personality, that it was such a waste to see all of that go in just 20 minutes. Wasn't having that Jenkins dude die be enough to elicit an "OMG SITUATION JUST GOT SRS" response? :x

LOL! :XD: Eventually, Joker landed on some Gilligan's planet and decided to just call it quits. :D

haha I'm thinking about doing the Worst Possible Import playthrough: [link]

Yes, I've played the Shadow Broker DLC and have all the DLCs for ME2. It's a good DLC, but I'd have to say that the Kasumi one was also great and perhaps my most favorite loyalty mission, hands down.

Heh, I just got started with ME3 this week, and as a first time adept. Gotta say, I'm loving it so far. I love how I can fling my enemies around with my Biotic God powers and not even have to touch my gun. :D

My Shep + Liara + Javik = invincible biotic squad! :D

I used to hate Ashley because of her xenophobic tendencies, but after she told me about the story of her father during the First Contact War, I can see why. She's alright, but she gets on my nerves. I hate how she blames my FemShep for everything and then almost acts like it's no big deal in ME3, like IDK. Like she's gotten passive-aggressive or whatever.

Kaidan is just 'blah' to me. Even his romance scene in ME1 was 'blah' to me.

Yeah, a lot of people complained about the lack of ME2 squad mates in ME3 and how they all got shafted so badly (especially the romances). The new ME3 characters are kind of bland to me so far, with the exception of perhaps James. But I find his combat skills to be 'blah', so I hardly use him in battle. I heard though that the reason why Bioware got rid of ME2 characters was because they thought there would be too many squad mates for Shepard to choose in ME3.

Ah yes, "endings". 16 different ones, 8 in reality, with actually only 3 to choose from, all being exactly the same but having an RGB spectrum flavor to it. Oh we have dismissed that claim.

Heh. Yeah. My current ME3 player as a renegade adept is interesting... I love that Bioware allows you to pick your weapons again, unlike ME2. In ME1, everyone could use rifles, shotguns, etc. I like I can choose my ideal loadout for my Shepard. The Mattock rifle, that super expensive Paladin pistol(totally worth it) and the Graal Spike Thrower shotgun (best shotgun in the game in my opinion).

I saw that Bioware said they wanted to do better character development on a smaller squad than a huge squad like in ME2. The thing is though, I thought they did just fine having 12 squad mates. With the exception of Jacob, I didn't think anyone was boring or skimmed over.

"Ah yes, "endings". 16 different ones, 8 in reality, with actually only 3 to choose from, all being exactly the same but having an RGB spectrum flavor to it. Oh we have dismissed that claim."

 That was bloody brilliant. Ugh. Yeah...
